Leaf-shaped dish, mid-20th century.
Decorative leaf-shaped stoneware dish with lively glaze in yellow, green and pink tones. Organic form and textured surface, characteristic of Nylund’s nature-inspired designs for Rörstrand.

Origin: Sweden.
Designer: Gunnar Nylund.
Material: Stoneware.
Dimensions: H. 5 cm, L. 30 cm, D. 17 cm.
Period: Mid-20th century.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was one of Rörstrand’s leading designers and ceramic artists. Active from the 1930s to the 1950s, he became known for his modern forms, matte “hare’s fur” glazes, and nature-inspired aesthetics. Today, his works are regarded as icons of Swedish stoneware design.
